Scentwork

Scentwork is a new discipline to HBDTC where dogs must find and indicate to their handler a hidden scent (clove oil) amongst an array of objects or around a vehicle.

​

It is a great sport for retired or injured dogs, or those who just love to sniff! It requires great concentration from the dogs and they just love to be encouraged to do something that comes so naturally to them. It grows a great bond between dog and handler as each has to learn their own dogs sometimes subtle indications of scent.
